Our lavender attracts many different kinds of butterflies and moths, from the humble cabbage white and common tortoiseshell to the more unusual peacock butterfly and the amazing humming bird moth. The bees are working all day, collecting nectar and pollen to make our honey. Swallows and swifts fly overhead with the occasional visit from buzzards. Wagtails enjoy the lavender too and last year we had a hare who decided to move into the field. We are waiting to spot him again this year.
